The Simpsons, The Show That Predicted Future
Matt Groening had a mind so fantastic. His "Simpson" series just made our days better. It talked about everything from politics and pop culture to everyday family life in its humorous satire. The world today, however, doubts that the series was predicting some things that would come true in future. Want to know what we are taking about. Continue reading.
So, do you remember Homer created a hybrid crop, that is a cross of Tomato and Tobacco and used Plutonium. It looked like a tomato but tasted like cigarette. Inspired by it, operation analyst Rob Baur grew a crop by grafting together the root of tobacco plant with the stem of tomato plant. He went on being famous and even was invited to meet the real Simpsons.
Bizarre Objects in Lunch
Do you remember a character named Lunch Lady Doris who often added weird, gross and bizarre objects such as Horse testicles and even a gym mat in Simpsons. Well! It happened in reality too in 2013 Europe where it was known that the supermarkets there were selling Horse meat labeled as Beef. In some cases, it was 100% horse meat labeled as pure beef.
All You Can Eat
There was an episode in "The Simpsons" where Homer visits a restaurant where they had an offer of "All You Can Eat". Homer keeps eating and eating until he is thrown out. He then sues the restaurant for not letting him run them out of business. Well! It came true when a man named Bill Wisth visited Chuck’s restaurant for taking the advantage of their All You Can Eat offer. He had 12 whole fish after which the restaurant offered in 8 more but with a condition that he would leave after that. Like Homer, he too felt insulted and called up police in charge of putting up a false advertisement. But, ended up being in the jail for a disorderly conduct.
Donald Trump As The President
Well! This is the spookiest prediction by the show. It was predicted in the episode "Bart To The Future " where Bart, the son of Homer is shown a vision of 30 years in future and what does he sees is the future of USA after Donald Trump being the President of the USA. He sees America is all broke under him. It's time that we all get alert and smart before America really see its destruction.
Simpsons in 1992 showed their billboard throwing blood over a newlywed couple. Well! This really inspired action director Quentin Tarantino who used it as a trick to advertise his movie, "Kill Bill" in New Zealand. Uma Thurman was painted holding a sword on the billboard and out of the sword splashed blood. Blood which actually painted some of the cars that drove past it.
In one of the episodes, we saw that Simpsons were into a business of stealing grease and reselling it. Not only this, he even took out Bart from school to help him in it. It turned into fact when some thieves were caught stealing used oil from the restaurant and reselling it. Although authorities were not sure how much they managed to steal but it is estimated that the business was multi millionaire.
