Scientists Say Obesity Can Become a Contagious Disease
Research shows that being in regular touch with overweight people will enhance your own personality and you might gain some weight. Wired but true!! It has been scientifically proven that obesity can be contagious.

Many of the researchers from the University of Southern California have studied the project titled “M-TEENS” wherein a survey has been taken out along with 1,111 children and their families. The main motive was to analyze the data and depict the factual picture. And as per the survey, it was found that 25% of teens and 75% of adults were suffering from the problem of obesity.
However, it was examined that they were having varied results from one state to another. For instance, if we talk about Colorado, there were 21% of teens who were suffering from obesity; on the other hand, the same number is 42% in Louisiana.
As far as one’s social environment is concerned, they have made a theory that children whose parents are working in company with overweight people are more prone to have a quick weight gain. They also noticed that the root cause of gaining the weight among the members of one social group is the relationship that these members shares as well as influential behavior on their eating habits.
Another huge study is being conducted at the University of Hawaii on the same aspect with the title “imitative obesity” emphasizing the process of imitation of people being overweight. They also have undergone a survey of 5,000 teens and concluded that the fatty teens are seeing helping their thin friends to gain weight. It really does hamper one’s eating habits, as we say, company effects.
Some of the researchers from Harvard Medical School have mentioned that the obesity spread out from people to people. They have interviewed almost 12,000 people aging approximately 32years and concluded that there are nearly 50% chances of your weight gain in case your friend have gained some extra weight.

Many of the scientists’ belief that this survey is going to be helpful in developing innovative ways to deal with the problem of obesity. However, it is to inculcate the healthy eating habits among people.
