Another reason for the loss of appetite is the improper functioning of intestines which might prevent food from being processed and it might just sit in the stomach causing nausea and uneasiness.

In cases of brain death or ‘vegetative state’, there is no observed brain activity and life support is what keeps their organs functioning. If this life support is unplugged, they would die.
