Netflix has announced a Scott Pilgrim anime series with voice actors from the original film.

The long-rumored series with well-known names was officially confirmed by the announcement trailer on YouTube.

Mary Elizabeth Winstead plays Ramona Flowers, and Michael Cera reprises his role as Scott Pilgrim.

The original film's cast, which includes Chris Evans, Brie Larson, Aubrey Plaza, and Kieran Culkin, will return as voice actors.

The series will also include at least a few of the villainous ex-partners, such as Jason Schwartzman and Brandon Routh.

Together with BenDavid Grabinski, original comic book creator Bryan Lee O'Malley will executive produce, write, and run the show.

Edgar Wright, co-writer, director, and producer of Scott Pilgrim Vs. the World, is going to serve as executive producer.

As of right now, neither a release date nor an official title have been disclosed.

The Scott Pilgrim movie gained popularity among viewers thanks to its ridiculous characters, outrageous plot, and sharp humor.

IGN, a well-known American website for video games and entertainment, gave the film an 8/10 in their review.

Although there are few plot specifics, the anime series promises to broaden the Scott Pilgrim universe.
